Scholarships and Financial Support
The Institut des sciences de la mer of the Université du Québec à Rimouski (ISMER-UQAR) offers various scholarships and financial support for both Canadian and international students.
Students enrolled in a master’s program in oceanography receive financial support from ISMER-UQAR worth up to $1,325 per term for five terms, to be chosen from among the first eight terms, provided that an ISMER or UQAR professor contributes at least the same amount.
Faculty members encourage and support students in the preparation of research grant applications to major funding organizations.
Students enrolled in a doctoral program in oceanography receive financial support from ISMER-UQAR worth up to $1700 per term for nine terms, to be chosen from among the first 12 terms, provided that an ISMER or UQAR professor contributes at least the same amount.
